Great buy. Got a hole - but good support, This review is from: ALPS Mountaineering Synergy LT Day Pack (Sports) I have owned two Alps backpacks and I am buying a third. My first one lasted about 9 years of frequent use for going to school and work. It was an earlier version of this model which seems like it is no longer available. It was excellent. My current Synergy LT developed a hole in the fabric at the top of the middle pocket after only a few months, which was very disappointing. The belt buckles on both backpacks broke quickly, but were still somewhat usable. I wish they made them of something sturdier or sold spares - my local fabric store does not have buckles large enough.Despite these problems, I am giving the bag 5 stars because it has two excellent features: - there are light weight metal strips in the back which provide support - there is a proper waist belt, similar to a backpacking backpack, so the weight is on your hips and not your shoulders There are lots of minor features like straps, hooks, and side pockets which add utility to the...
