If you don't mind having to upgrade the bite valve, which recommend, it is a great pack! Very comfortable, super well ventilated. The suspended design allows lots of airflow between your back and the pack so you don't get a big soggy wet spot. There is a sprung internal frame with both lateral and vertical components so the pack maintains its shape and doesn't put all the load on your shoulders. The waist strap is minimal, but has pads for your hips, and (along with the chest strap) helps keep the pack in place over rough terrain without pinching or being generally distracting. Open top 3 liter bladder design is easy to fill and easy to clean. Large central pocket (mainly for the 3L bladder) where you can put lunch or some energy bars, plus two smaller pockets on the front and an elastic suspended cover for stashing a jacket or even a helmet.
