The 3500 was sold out and would not be back in time for before he leaves so he looked at the 3500. We had it sent to his house, and he received it exactly when he was supposed to. After he took it out he told me it was exactly what he needed. It would be making everything so much easier for him to have a backpack that would hold everything safely. My son talked to a lot of friends that have taken Kelty backpacks to Iraq and Afghanistan 2 and 3 times and they are still in great shape so I knew that I did not want anything less for him. I will post back if he tells me anything else. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful best tactical pack iv ever seen, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Kelty Tactical Raven 2500 Backpack (Sports) this pack is amazing it has just enough room to fit all of my hiking gear for Colorado winter and summer together! the fabric is really durable and the packs design is like no other. in side there are 3 frames to give the pack a really supportive feel. it can fit two big hydration blatters but instead i use the set up to hook up my pump water filter and a water bottle so i can purify water quickly into my pack without even having to open it! there are compression stapps all over to keep weight centered. i have 2 rei packs, a 30 and 80 liter and also a 90 liter kelty and a small north face, but this pack is with out a bout my go to pack for ever thing like skiing, hiking, camping, and school. i love this pack! |
