The Crown VC is one heck of pack. Named for the triple crown of long distance hiking trails and Granite Gear's Vapor Current suspension technology, it seems like it is right up there with the best thru-hiking - extended trip packs on the market.Weighing in at only 2 pounds 2oz with the removable frame sheet and 1 pound 13oz without it- it is able to support a 30-35 pound load. With a 60 liter capacity it will fit all of your winter gear plus some. The Condura fabric roll top closure seems to unravel a yard from the top of back panel, it really is a ton of space. But cinches down nicely to even be used as a daypack or an overnight. With two torso (R,L) and S,M,L hipbelt sizes you can dial in your perfect fit. Though becareful about your hipbelt size. I selected a Medium (waist 30-34 I think) being a size 32 and I have to cinch it down nearly all the way. Should've went with a small.
